State House hearing on Arizona copper impacts

The Arizona House Commerce Committee is hosting a meeting to discuss the economic impacts of copper mining in Arizona. Speaking on behalf of the mining community will be Red Conger, President of  Freeport McMoRan Americas and Chairman of the National Mining Association; Tom Aldrich, Vice President Environmental Affairs at ASARCO LLC.; Jamie Sturgess, Sr. Vice President at Rosemont Copper Company; and Andrew Taplin, Project Director at Resolution Copper Company.  [Right, copper sheets. Congressman Paul Gosar will join State Representative Tom Forese at the hearing, which is scheduled for 3-5 pm, Monday, December 16, in Hearing Room 3 of the Arizona House of Representatives at the State Capitol.
