Moderate earthquake strikes north rim of Grand Canyon

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit the north rim of Grand Canyon at 1:38 A.M. local time this morning.  The epicenter (marked by the "A" in the Google Map view. Credit, USGS) is 34 miles south of Fredonia, Arizona.

We have not yet heard reports of how widely felt this event was.
