Stegosaurus lecture is part of gem, mineral, fossil show

One of the benefits of having 50,000 people in town for the world's largest gem, mineral, and fossil show, is that all kinds of related activities are going on all over the city.

Tomorrow night (Sat, Feb 6), Matthew Mossbrucker, Director and Paleontologist for the Morrison Natural History Museum in Morrison, Colorado, will give a free public lecture on "Stegosaurus" at the International Wildlife Museum just across the gully from where I live in the Tucson Mountains.   [right, Stegosaurus stenops, a stegosaur from the Late Jurassic of North America, pencil drawing by Nobu Tamura]

The lecture starts at 7 pm. Tickets are free but must be picked up at the Association of Applied Paleontological Sciences at their booth in the Tucson Inn.
