Resolution Copper blog about proposed mine

Resolution Copper has launched their own blog as a forum about the proposed underground copper mine near the town of Superior. The first posts talk about the land exchange bill now before Congress, economic impact of the mine, and environmental issues.

In 1994 the Dos Pobres and San Juan Land exchange was conducted using the National Enviornmental Policy Act by Phelps Dodge copper Company. The enviornmental impact statement was completed and then the land exchange took place. The City of Safford AZ was allowed to use that input before any exchange was done. Resolution Copper should due all the studies just like Phelps Dodge. The studies should be done the same since the Town of Superior's water supply is near the mine. NEPA studies should be completed before any exchange takes place.
