Mohave County supervisors endorse uranium exploration, mining


Supervisors in Mohave County voted to support uranium mining in the Arizona Strip because it creates jobs, provides critical fuel for nuclear power plants, and will not affect the local groundwater aquifers or threaten the Grand Canyon as mining opponents claim, according to a report in the Mohave Daily News.
